Workspace Permission

This section describes the steps for providing permission to the workspace in Collaboration Manager 365. Mapping is provided between the Workspace list and Workspace site collections. These Workspace Permission is applicable for content type "Item". 

1. From Collaboration Manager 365 main menu, click on link "Setup" in left navigation. 

2. Click on link "Permissions" under Settings. 

3. Click on link "Workspace Permission".

4. Click on link "Add Mapping".

5. Enter the following details:

a. Field "Field": Select the custom  field "TestGRP" from Field drop down. This field contains all the custom fields created by users.

NOTE: Field "TestGRP" is a custom group field created by a user and is already existing. This can be created from Workspace->List Settings->Create Column.

b. Field "Template": Select the template from the list. Select Template 'TEMPMap' from list.

NOTE: Template 'TEMPMap' should be available in CM365.

c. Field "SharePoint Group": User can update this field with the default groups available.

    Use these placeholders {DefaultOwnersGroup}, {DefaultMembersGroup} or {DefaultVisitorsGroup} to manage permission in the default groups/associated groups. Enter {DefaultMembersGroup}.

    Users can also create their own groups. User can select a Template from Template list->Site Settings->People and Groups->Add New Group. New Groups added by the user will also be available under "SharePoint Group" field.

d. Checkbox "Administrators": When this checkbox is enabled, it makes all members of the group entered in the field "SharePoint Group" as a site collection administrator.

6. Click on button 'Add'.

7. Added mapping is displayed in the Mapping list.

8. Go to Templates and Save the template 'TEMPMap'.

9. Go to Workspace and Create a workspace of type 'Item' of template  'TEMPMap'. 

10. Enter all details in workspace, Title as 'WSMap' and In custom field, 'TestGRP', enter users 'Christian Gross', 'Bastian John'. 

11. After the successful creation of workspace, Select the URL of the workspace, click on settings icon in right corner of the page.

12. Click on 'Site Settings link.

13. Click on Site Permissions link.

14. Click on 'WSMap Members' link.

15. Users 'Christian Gross' and 'Bastian John' should be displayed under 'WSMap Members'.

This completes the functionality of Workspace Permission.
